The President H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has urged the senior national soccer team, the Black Stars to see this year's Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt as a "year of return" for the trophy to Ghana. According to the President, this year's tournament affords the players the opportunity to write their names in gold and be counted among the football greats of our country. The President made these remarks at a short ceremony at the Banquet Hall of the Jubilee House to bid farewell to the team as they leave for pre-tournament camping in Abu Dhabi on Sunday. FIFA Forensic Audit of Ghana FA Found No Corruption Against Kwesi Nyantakyi

A forensic audit conducted by FIFA on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has found no acts corruption or financial impropriety on Kwesi Nyantakyi during his tenure. The audit conducted on the orders of the world governing body six months ago also cleared members of the Executive Committee of the GFA of any acts of malfeasance. The FIFA auditing officials, who spent about one month in Ghana investigating the financial affairs of the federation, discovered that neither corruption nor embezzlement took place at the GFA. The audit report concluded that the Ghana FA has only 'perception issues' to deal with since media reports of corruption within  the federation are 'wide off the mark', the report said. However, the FIFA auditors recommended that the slim accounts office staff must be boosted while modern accountancy software used by some federations like the South African FA must be acquired by the Ghana FA to ease the workload. 20 Metro Mass Buses In Town,More To Land Soon

The Akufo-Addo administration, in two years, has made great strides in building this nation. Various sectors of the economy have received rapt attention in the almost two years upon the assumption of office of the administration. The management of Metro Mass Transit has imported twenty (20) new Daewoo model buses to add to the fleet of buses the outfit has. Emphasis must be placed on the fact that 30 of such buses have been received already, sending the number so far received to 50. More buses, according to Mr Adu Boahen, the acting MD of the outfit, are on their way coming. Quite a number of the old buses have broken down, calling for new ones to be imported to replace them. It must also be stated that the previous management, though was not oblivious of the fact that the outfit needed additional vehicles to augment its fleet, nothing concrete was done towards that direction. China Civil Engineering Construction Corporation (CCECC) Ready For Kumasi - Bechem Railway Project

On 28th April, 2019 the Minister for Railways Development, Hon. Joe Ghartey led a delegation to Beijing to meet with officials of CCECC to further discuss how to develop and implement the multi-million-dollar project. Three Chinese Illegal Miners Busted At Mile Nine,Obuasi

On Sunday, May 26, 2019, the IMCIM monitoring team arrested three (3) Chinese illegal miners actively involved in mining activities on the visited site at Mile Nine in Obuasi, Ashanti Region. In addition, two (2) Sany excavators were seized but had to abandon the equipment as they were technically handy and equally lacked the decoding information. The three Chinese illegal miners were arrested and sent to Obuasi central police command for collection to Accra. The IMCIM team remains focused in discharging their activities in the coming days.
