Three Chinese Illegal Miners Busted At Mile Nine,Obuasi


On Sunday, May 26, 2019, the IMCIM monitoring team arrested three (3) Chinese illegal miners actively involved in mining activities on the visited site at Mile Nine in Obuasi, Ashanti Region.

In addition, two (2) Sany excavators were seized but had to abandon the equipment as they were technically handy and equally lacked the decoding information.

The three Chinese illegal miners were arrested and sent to Obuasi central police command for collection to Accra.

The IMCIM team remains focused in discharging their activities in the coming days.
