Reports reaching us indicate that MP for Ayawaso West Wuogon Hon. Kyeremateng Agyarko is dead. It is not immediately known what caused the unfortunate passing of the astute politician and Parliamentarian who was a regular feature on our radio and Television waves. The younger brother of embattled former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko , Hon Kyeremateng was known for his sharp critique of the opposition NDC and the decision by the Akufo-Addo administration of which he was a parliamentarian to fire his brother over the I’ll fated AMERI II deal. Mahama's 40-year Development Plan "Nonsense"-- Tony Aidoo

Dr. Tony Aidoo has described the 40-year development plan which was developed under former President John Mahama as ‘nonsense”. According to him, the plan had no data backing it. “Ghana needs a data bank and a record keeping system. We need records for not just births and deaths, elections, monitoring & evaluations. We need data for future planning. The 40 year plan under Mahama is nonsense. You cannot plan without data. “A plan is one that is monetized and quantified. The President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, says the rehabilitation of existing schools and the construction of new ones are continuing across the country, all with the purpose of strengthening the delivery of quality, basic education. Speaking at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Lawra Senior High School, on Saturday, 10th November, 2018, President Akufo-Addo noted that with ingenuity and innovation, his Government, through the Ghana Education Trust Fund, has secured a $1.5 billion facility to help develop infrastructure in schools in the country. “Once parliamentary approval is obtained, the first tranche of this facility will be used to build more classroom blocks and dormitories in our schools to give our schools appropriate facilities to meet the demands of the 21st century,” the President said. President Akufo-Addo assured that Government would continue to support Lawra SHS and all other senior high schools across the country, to deliver quality education.

Background: I received a message last night by a concerned Ghanaian as regards huge sums of money being charged on Wesley Girls' students through the School's PTA. Action Taken: I informed my bosses and promised to follow the issue up the following morning and report back. I sent a message to the Head about my planned visit. I was at the school for almost two hours, but I was told the Headmistress, Mrs. Kay Ankomah was not around as she was engaged in other official duties. I spoke with the Assistant Head (Domestic) and the School Administrator, but both asked me to speak to the Head at the opportune time. I had interaction with some few parents and students as the Green Track students were preparing to go home for their holidays. Upon my return to the office, the Headmistress got in touch with me on phone and later referred me to the Chairperson of the PTA, Mrs. Marilyn Owusu. Nissan To Establish Automotive Manufacturing Industry In Ghana

Ghana has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Nissan Group of Africa for the establishment of an automotive manufacturing industry in Ghana, which will make Ghana the hub for sales and marketing of Nissan in West Africa. This was announced on Tuesday, 6th November, 2018, when the Managing Director of Nissan Group of Africa, Mike Whitfield, paid a courtesy call on President Akufo-Addo. According to Mr. Whitfield, Nissan aims to be the first carmaker to assemble vehicles in Ghana, building on its market leadership in the country. Nissan models, he explained, accounted for 32.8% of vehicle sales in Ghana last year, with the company’s cars, pickups and SUVs sold through a national network of six sales and service outlets. “Nissan is the most popular auto brand in Ghana because the quality of our products and services has won the trust of our customers,” Whitfield said.
