ACP Eklu Wins Personality Of The Year 2018



ACP/Mr David Eklu, the Director-General Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service was adjudged the “PR Personality of the Year 2018”  for his outstanding performance and innovative ideas in the Communication Industry in Ghana  at the 8th Marketing World
Awards (MWA) held at the Movenpick Hotel in Accra on November 16, 2018.

The award was aimed at “Celebrating Brands and Individuals that work Tirelessly and Passionately”.  ACP Eklu was accompanied by his family and some top senior officers of the Ghana Police Service including COP Ken Yeboah, COP David Ampah-Benin, Chief Superintendent Francis Nchor, DSP/Mrs  Sheilla Kessie Abayie- Buckman and DSP/Mrs. Effia Tengey.

A total of thirty four categories of awards were won by various institutions and individuals on the event night. Among the award winners was MTN Ghana which picked the highest number of awards including the Marketing Team of the Year. Other awards were Consumer Brand of the Year award which was won by Blue Band of Unilever Ghana and Woman PR Professional of the Year award which went to Nana Essilfua-Boison who is Director of Marketing and Corporate Relations at Barclays Bank Ghana.

The 8th Marketing World Awards was powered by Instinct Wave, Africa’s Premium Event and Media Specialists, organizers of Ghana Information Technology and Telecom (GITTA) Awards.
