The People Of Akyem-Akwatia Celebrate "Nkusuohene", Baffour Kwasi Darkwa l For His Immense Contribution To The Development Of Akyem-Akwatia



Leadership is key in development. In view of this the people of Akyem- Akwatia in the Eastern Region sing praises to the selfless and committed leadership exhibited by the "Nkusuohene" of the town,Baffour Kwasi Darkwa I.




"Baffour"as popularly known in the chieftaincy circles assumed office as the Nkusuohene of the Akyem-Akwatia Traditional Area some four years back.As part of his reign,he has demonstrated positive attitude towards the development of his people and the town at large.He has among other things:

 • constructed an ultramodern durbar grounds(community center) for his people.This facility will host social gatherings such as church conferences, funerals,wedding ceremonies etc



• renovated the Akwatia Police Station which was in a deplorable state for many years.He donated 6 brand new refrigerators and 6 flat screen television sets to be used in the offices of the police station.This means that each of the office of the police station now has it own refrigerator and a flat screen tv set including the commander's office.He again donated 12 mattresses for both male and female cells




• completed an abandoned recreational facility which is very important to his people and most especially the youth of Akyem-Akwatia.



In an exclusive interview with chief editor of nqanews.blogspot.com,Baffour Kwasi Darkwa I thanked his people for the support so far and urged his colleagues to do well to replicate similar gestures of developing their town.

To end his words, he assured his people of more developmental projects to be undertaken under his leadership and called on government to expedite action of developing small towns ie construction of roads,building of schools,health facilities etc which will boost economic activities.
