MORTAL REMAINS OF BUSUMMURU KOFI ANNAN ARRIVES HOME

The remains of former UN Secretary General," Kofi Annan has arrived in Ghana from Switzerland where he died.The late Kofi Annan died on August 18,2018.The body of the late secretary general  was accompanied by his wife, Maria,children and some UN officials.The remains was received with a brief ceremony led by Ghana Armed Forces and President Akuffo- Addo at the Kotoka
International Airport. The body has since been moved to the Accra International Conference Centre where he will be laid in state.The public will be allowed to file past and pay their last respect at the Accra International Conference Centre on Tuesday September 11,2018.On Thursday will be a solemn burial service.The service will be attended by UN officials,Heads of states,diplomatic delegations and the general public.

There will also be a private burial at midday on Thursday 13th September,2018 at the military cemetery with full military honours and 17 gun salute.

In an exclusive interview with his son, Kojo Annan by nqanews.blogspot.com saids,the values his father lived for in ensuring world piece and unity should urge Ghanaians to foster greater unity.He went further to say that his father's strive for perfection must be emulated".
