Smear Not Otumfour With Your Problems On Menzgold - ASEP Warns Gov't

It has now become even more clearer that Government is at a crossroad on this MENZGOLD issue as all attempts to dissociate itself and bury its inefficiencies on this MENZGOLD impasse are being exposed on a daily basis by events.

In a desperate attempt to gasp for air,government communicators are lashing on anything that could take the attention off government as far as this MENZGOLD issue is concerned.
Infact in the past few days video clips of NAM1’s visit to Otumfuor sometime ago are being circulated on social media by these desperate government social media propagandists.

We want to tell them that the good people of Ghana are discerning and that this smearing campaign against the Asantehene will not wash,this desperate attempt to drag anyone they can find into this dunghole they are in will not fly, Infact we won’t allow it to happen!!!

Government and its Agencies are the ONLY ones entirely to be blamed for this impasse!!

Last week when i raised the issue of NAM1 holding a Diplomatic Passport, Some journalists in this country sat on radio in all attempt to discredit me and the legitimacy of the issue i raised.
Today a Vice chairman of the NPP is telling us that it was the NDC that gave NAM1 a Diplomatic Passport.

You see the inconsistency and the apparent lack of truthfulness in government’s statements and communications on this issue?

The issue i raised was whether NAM1 was a Diplomatic Passport holder or NOT??
You answer that question before we can interrogate who issued the Diplomatic Passport to him and WHY.
But Ghanaians are NOT interested in the Party that issued the Diplomatic Passport,we are interested in the issuing Officer who issued the Diplomatic Passport and on whose authorisation?
(Remember No Diplomatic Passport can be issued WITHOUT the knowledge of the PRESIDENT)

But the truth of the matter is that even if it was the NDC government who issued the Diplomatic Passport to Nana Appiah Mensah even though i doubt the veracity of that claim,this government have been in power for more than two years and had every power to terminate the Diplomatic status of this “Criminal”
Why didn’t they revoke it???
So now that it has coke out,they shouldn’t tell us any stories we are tired of the cock and bull stories.

I wonder what the AG,EOCO and the other officials have gone to do in Dubai??
As at now,Ghana has no Diplomatic arrangements with the UAE as far as “Criminal Extraditions” are concerned.
Such arrangements exists only between us and the US and a few other countries.
So why in God’s name will they waste tax payers money to travel to Dubai,sleep in luxurious hotels and eat all the exotic foods at the expense of the poor tax payer when there is a Ghanaian Embassy in Dubai with a resident ambassador???

The Attorney General is worst of them all,where has she been all this while??,when this whole impasse started was she??
Was she sleeping??Did she just woke up from her slumber??
When NAM1 was dragging BoG and the SEC to court where was she?

Before the BoG and the SEC moved to close MENZGOLD down,as a legal advisor to the President and the government,what legal advice did she give the President,the BoG,the SEC and the government as a whole??

Government must first accept full responsibility for its inefficiencies in this MENZGOLD issue and that is the first step in bringing finality to this matter and also some closure to these disgruntled MENZGOLD customers.

As for Kweku Baako i don’t know where he gets his data from,
Is he the liquidator for MENZGOLD?
Who told Kwaku Baako that MENZGOLD customers does not exceed 5000?
Kwaku Baako must take his time and verify with first hand data of MENZGOLD customers from the books of MENZGOLD.

But the point is if as at now government does not have primary data or evidence such as data of customers and the funds invested so that we can place a figure on the number of people who have invested,the principal amounts they have invested and the total amount of MENZGOLD’s current liabilities as at the time it was closed down,then our security agencies are a bunch of jokes.
