GUFA Successfully Launched By Group Leader,Francis Akwaffo Boateng"Totti"



Over the weekend was the launch of the newest footballers group called "Great United Footballers Association" (GUFA) with slogan as "Together We Stand".
GUFA is an initiative by former B.A United star,Asante Kotoko Sc winger,Al Ittihad Alexandria and Al Nasr Benghazi playermaker, Francis Akwaffo Boteng" Totti" as President.
Former Aduana Stars and  Kotoko defender,Gabriel Opoku-Ware is the Vice President.
The group seeks to bring onboard both past and present footballers who ply their trade either in or outside Ghana.

It's a nationwide group and has reps in various European and African countries.The welfare and development of the player is the proud concern of GUFA. Currently,GUFA has over 250 membership.
As part of the launch was a float in Kumasi on Friday, 28th December, 2018 which saw many industry players turning up for the said event.


In attendance was "The Serial Killer",a former player of Great Olympics and Glorious Accra Hearts of Oak, Bernard 'Dada Diouf'Don Bortey,Iddrisu Yahya formerly of KingFaisal fc,KotokoSc & Techiman City Fc,Kofi Agyare formerly of Hearts of Oak,Akwasi Bobie-Ansah formerly of Kotoko Sc and Hearts of Oak, Daniel Bomfa formerly of Kotoko Sc,Francis Akwaffo 'Totti' formerly of Kotoko Sc under Coach Bashiru Hayford,Gabriel Opoku-Ware formerly of Aduana Stars and Kotoko Sc,Frank Boateng formerly of Kotoko Sc,Bashiru Gambo formerly of KingFaisal,Kotoko and Ashgold fc etc....

The float began as early as 6:30am at Adum through the principal streets of Kumasi and ended at the Kumasi BabaYara Sports Stadium at 12noon.
Series of interviews were held with the President of the group, Vice President and some players who participated in the float.
At 3:00pm was a " launch match" to commemorate the day as the players clashed out in a friendly game at Patase Police Depot Football Park.It was a healthy exercise.

Finally, a dinner and fundraising ceremony was held the next day at MacLean Joint behind Unity Oil,Santasi.The occasion was graced by various football administrators,managers,coaches,ex-footballers,media and football fanatics.Indeed the entire organization for the launch of GUFA was spot on.
