National Service: Education Minister Congratulates Teacher Trainees

"PRESS RELEASE

The Minister of Education, Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, has noted that 19,181 graduates of the country’s Colleges of Education have registered for, and have commenced their national service in accordance with the law (National Service Act of 1980, Act 426). This comprises teacher trainees who graduated in the 2017/18 academic year as well as graduates from preceding years.

The Honourable Minister wishes to congratulate the trainees, and to thank them for their cooperation with the Ghana Education Service, the National Teaching Council and the National Service Scheme in bringing this process to fruition.

 He further urges them to commit themselves to their respective national service roles and serve with diligence, thereby contributing their quota to national development".
